Frequently Asked Question
1. Why Buy?
The AirFree Air Purifier offers asthma and allergy sufferers, completely silent operation and zero filter replacement cost and is maintenance free. This portable Air Purifier can be easily placed on your desk or floor. AirFree is the most technologically advanced Air Purifiers on the market today. AirFree is one of the few Air Purifiers independently tested and proven efficient in eliminating microorganisms. These independent tests can be seen at http://www.airfree.com/testes/testeshome.htm
2. Who was the Airfree designed for?
The AirFree was designed exclusively for personal home or office use to remove a wide range of harmful air impurities. Asthmatics and those with respiratory ailments will especially benefit from the Airfree air purifier. The Airfree targets mold, spores, airborne microorganisms, dust mites and ozone. The Airfree is perfect for use in homes, apartments, offices and professional office settings.
3. My Airfree P80 or Platinum 125 anti stress light is blinking, what does it mean?
  Cause 1 :
Airfree incorporates an automatic energy-saving feature by automatically shutting off the ceramic core when it has reached a temperature range to facilitate air convection (air in the room is drawn into the machine to destroy impurities, contaminants and odours). The ceramic core shuts down for a few minutes, the indicator light turns off, and the top light emitting diode (L.E.D.) blinks. Airfree continues to sterilise the air during this time. This indicates the conservation of electric power consumption and the preservation of the ceramic core.

Cause 2 :
Another contributory factor to Airfree's blinking occurrence is the ambient air (air in the environment). When the ambient air reaches 95 degrees 35 degrees Celsius, Airfree auto - regulates itself with the ceramic core "shut off" for a few minutes but still continues with its sterilising activity ( the blinking of the top light signals this occurrence). In this process energy is conserved and Airfree's safety mechanism is enhanced.

Cause 3 :
Airfree incorporates state of the art electronics detecting any improper placementor device malfunctioning. If the top blue light does not blinking, please ensure that your Airfree unit is in the upright position. If the top and bottom air inlets are free of blockage, the blinking may be due to a faulty electrical outlet. Please plug it in into a proper outlet. If in the next 10 minutes the top light continues blinking and your Airfree unit is correctly installed, this indicates that the device may be malfunctioning. Please promptly contact your dealer in such case.
4. How does the Airfree work?
The Airfree goes through 3 steps to remove multiple impurities from the air. First, air is drawn in through the air inlet chamber via heated ceramic sterilization ducts that use energy-efficient air convection currents. Next, patented TSSTM the incinerator chamber destroys 99.999 of microorganisms, completely eliminating them from the air. Finally, clean air is emitted through the cooling chamber.
5. Are there any side effects?
No. Airfree's new technology uses heat to purify the air. No side effects, no emissions, NO IONS, nor new particles are generated. Airfree should be used in all homes and offices quietly, constantly and efficiently purifying the air.
6. Will one Airfree® unit be powerful enough for my room?
One Airfree® is powerful enough to purify the air in rooms up to 258 sq.ft. for P60 model, 344 sq ft for P80 model 550 sq ft for P125 model. If the room is larger more Airfree units should be added proportional to the room size.
7. Where should I place the Airfree?
The Airfree is a desk-top or floor model that can be placed anywhere in the room you wish to cleanse. While you can use your Airfree in a room with an open window, it is recommended for the best results that you close all windows and doors in the area you wish to treat. Do not install Airfree, over or under furniture, this will disrupt its airflow and reduce its efficiency. For the most efficient air cleansing results, sealing a room or set of rooms for purification will keep your Air Purifier running as effectively as possible. If your Airfee has to account for additional volumes of air than it is equipped for the results would be lesser than expected.
8. Can I install Airfree in my walking closet?
Yes, as long as it has at least 400cu.ft (11m3)*. Airfree should not be placed under shelves or its efficiency will be reduced.
* as reference 400cu.ft (11m3) is approximately 7' x 7' x 7' .
9. Can I use Airfree in air conditioned rooms?
  Yes.

18. Can I change Airfree from one room to another?
No. Airfree must always be plugged in the same room 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Airfree's patented technology works gradually and cannot have its cycle interrupted. Moving it from one room to another will interrupt the cycle.
20. Should I turn off Airfree when I leave house?
No. Airfree must always be on.
21. How long can I operate Airfree before switching it off. ?
Airfree is designed to operate 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
22. What happens if Airfree is disconnected or there is a power failure?
Airfree will take approximately the same time to recover the previous reduced contamination level.
23. Does CADR measure the effectiveness of the Airfree?
Not at all. CADR is not designed to test the Airfree technology.
The AHAM seal (usually found on the back of an air cleaner's box) lists three Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) numbers: one for tobacco smoke, one for pollen and one for dust. The CADR indicates volume of filtered air delivered by an air cleaner. The higher the tobacco smoke, pollen and dust numbers, the faster the unit filters the air.
The main reason why CADR is not designed for Airfree is because Airfree does not filter but destroys micro- organisms instead, CADR only applies to volume of filtered air delivered by an air cleaner as stated above.
CADR does not measure microorganism reduction like mold and bacteria only detectable by a microbiology lab. Airfree destroys ( not trap or attract to other surface ) any microorganism regardless of how small they might be. 99,99% of all organic particles are fully destroyed when passing through the Airfree U.S. patented ceramic core.
24. How does Airfree destroy dust mites?
Mold reduction in the atmosphere causes a reduction in the mold dependant dust mite population.
Airfree also destroys the harmful toxins and fungus freed by dust mite feces that trigger respiratory allergies.
25. How does Airfree eliminate fungi?
As mentioned before, Airfree eliminates airborne microorganisms included fungi and spores. By eliminating spores no new colonies will be formed, meaning less future fungi and spores in the air.
26. How does Airfree destroy viruses?
Those microscopic microorganisms are easily eliminated inside Airfree' s ceramic core capillaries. Inside temperature of Airfree capillaries is triple the temperature required to incinerate them. Airfree is your largest ally in respiratory disease prevention.
27. Does Airfree reduce tobacco smell ?
