The precipitator removes submicron particles by

CONSTRUCTION AND FUNCTION
Air Intake Grill (cover) – Bottom
Pre-Filter
Washable pre-filter removes large air borne dust particles from the air passing through intake
grill.

Electrostatic Precipitator Filter
The multistage precipitator comprises of an electrostatic field set up between a series of plates
which are alternately positively and negatively charged.
The precipitator removes submicron smoke(from 0.01 micron), dust and other particles by
electronically charging (negative) the particles as they pass through the high voltage ionizing
needles. These particles are then attracted and adhere to the collecting plates which are
charged positively.
HEPA Filter
HEPA Filter removes dust particles upto 0.3 micron which pass without removal through the
Electrostatic Precipitator. HEPA Filter can only be used once and cannot be cleaned Replace
as necessary.
Activated Carbon Filter
The activated Carbon filter working by a magnetic principle removes all type of odours,

Maintenance
Prior to any cleaning or maintenance un-plug the unit. Please record replacement date for
future reference.
Air Intake Grill Cleaning (Every Week)
To clean the air intake grill use vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment. The grill should
be cleaned every 4th week depending upon the level of pollution in the environment. To clean
the external surface of the unit rub gently with a soft cloth moistened with mild soap solution.
Do not use solvents, abrasive or cleaning agents.
Prefilter – Remove prefilter once in 3 months. Blow air to remove dust. Wash in water. Dry.
Electrostatic Precipitator – Clean every 3 month
Soak in the soap water for about 30 minutes. Wipe electrode plates and needles using damp
cloth or sponge soaked in the soap water. Clean carefully to avoid any damage to needles.
Rinse now in fresh water and allow it to dry thoroughly. If the ionizer is damp it can damage
your unit.
